Kamili Mail is designed with a privacy-first approach. We collect the minimum data necessary to provide our service:

• Account information: Email address, name, and password hash when you create a Kamili account.
• Email account connections: OAuth tokens or encrypted IMAP/SMTP credentials for your connected email accounts.
• Sync metadata: Message IDs, timestamps, folder structures, and read/unread states needed for email synchronization.
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, and device type for compatibility and support.
• Essential cookies: Session cookies required for authentication and site functionality.

What we do NOT collect: We do not read, scan, or analyze the content of your emails on our servers. All AI processing occurs on your device. We do not collect usage data for advertising purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data exclusively to:

• Authenticate you and provide access to your email accounts
• Synchronize email across your connected accounts
• Maintain your preferences and settings across devices
• Provide customer support when you contact us
• Improve our service through anonymized, aggregated usage statistics
• Send essential service communications (security alerts, billing)

3. Third-Party Services

Kamili Mail integrates with the following third-party services:

• Email providers: Gmail (Google), Outlook (Microsoft), Yahoo, iCloud (Apple) — to sync your email via their official APIs.
• Stripe: For payment processing. We never store your credit card details.
• Infrastructure providers: For hosting and content delivery. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only as long as your account is active. Sync metadata is retained to enable the service. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days, including account information, sync state, preferences, templates, and AI models. Email content remains with your email provider and is not affected by account deletion.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update or correct your personal information.
• Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and data.
• Portability: Export your data in a standard format.
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data.
• Objection: Object to data processing for specific purposes.

6. Children's Privacy

Kamili Mail is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Kamili Mail is operated from the United States. If you access our service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We implement appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, to protect your data during international transfers.
